The last 24 hours with Calum have been pretty amazing.
Last night Lisa and I took him to a party in Atherton. Calum got to listen to a lot of great music at the party. Al Green and Marvin Gaye crossed his ears for the first time!
Then I took Calum up to the front row to watch a polynesian dance and rhythm section play for 30 minutes. He stayed awake for at least half of it and I think he really liked the girls dancing and the drums beating.
Then today I sat in front of calum in his bouncer chair with my guitar and played/sang the 1st four songs from Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band to him. That would be the intro song of same name, with a little help from my friends, lucy in the sky with diamonds and getting better. I forgot a lot of the lyrics so had to hum, which probably sounded better than my singing. I completely forgot how to play the 5th song (fixing a hole) so will need to brush up before I continue. Anyway... Calum loved it and smiled at me a bunch while I played.
I'm really looking forward to being with him when he experiences new things like this!
