I am constantly amazed at how compassionate and empathetic Calum is. I've never seen another child exhibit so much concern for others. He can spot someone who is uncomfortable or upset or sad from a mile away, then work to try to console them.
He is this way with his sister. Noticing immediately when she's sad. Offering her toys or just plain giggles to change her mood. He'll go from playing quietly to laughing hysterically just to get a rise out of her. And, he always alerts me when she's getting into trouble--stuck under the couch, unable to reach a toy, or is approaching something (like a small toy or object) that's dangerous she play with. I love this boy!!
